How Boop Is Made

Good shirts. Ridiculous dogs. No mystery.

Boop Apparel is a small, independent apparel brand based in Dunedin, Florida. We create the designs, choose the garments we actually want to wear, and work with Apliiq, our U.S.-based printing and fulfillment partner, to make each website order after you place it.

Why We Print to Order

We want you to be able to find your shirt—the design you love, on the style you prefer, in a color you'll actually wear.

That creates a small logistical problem.

With roughly 100 designs × 4 apparel styles × 6 colors × an average of 6 sizes, we'd already be looking at about 14,400 different combinations to keep in stock. And we're still adding designs.

Printing to order lets us offer more designs, more colors, and more ways to wear them instead of deciding everybody gets six designs in black, gray, and navy. It also means we aren't manufacturing thousands of finished Boop shirts and hoping each one eventually finds its person.

When you order apparel from BoopApparel.com, your item is made to order. That can take a little longer than pulling a mass-produced shirt off a warehouse shelf. We think that's a pretty fair trade for getting the version you actually wanted.

We Spent Years Finding the Shirts

Long before Boop Apparel existed, we spent years buying and wearing shirts from different brands, events, gyms, and companies—and learning what we actually liked wearing.

We learned something pretty simple: the best design in the world on a scratchy, uncomfortable shirt never leaves your closet.

So when we started Boop, we didn't just choose the cheapest blank we could find and start printing dogs on it. We selected the garments behind Boop based on the things that matter when you're actually wearing them: softness, comfort, fit, weight, and how they feel throughout the day.

That's also why we offer different styles. The shirt you want for a workout isn't necessarily the shirt someone else wants for brunch, a dog walk, or sitting on the couch with three dogs who have absolutely no concept of personal space.

We Design It. Apliiq Helps Us Make It.

Boop Apparel is designed by us in Dunedin, Florida. When you place an apparel order through our website, Apliiq, our U.S.-based printing and fulfillment partner, prints, packs, and ships it.

Using a production partner lets a small brand like ours offer a surprisingly ridiculous number of dogs, jokes, shirt styles, colors, and sizes without filling a warehouse with thousands of shirts waiting for someone to hopefully order them.

We're still responsible for what carries the Boop name—which is why we're picky about the garments, designs, print quality, and partners we use.

The ideas, terrible puns, breed jokes, gym references, and overall questionable decision-making happen here in Dunedin, Florida. Our dogs provide management oversight. Their performance reviews have been mixed.

Why We Do It This Way

Boop isn't trying to be fast fashion. We'd rather make a shirt when somebody actually wants it, put the design on a garment we're comfortable selling, and keep creating increasingly unnecessary dog jokes.
